Who We Are
Uganda has one of the youngest populations in the world. More than half of its 37 million people are children – which provides exciting potential for a dynamic future.
After years of conflict and insecurity, there has been some considerable progress. More children are in school and fewer are dying of preventable illnesses.
But many children, especially in rural areas, still live in poverty and without their basic rights.

One in five children do not complete primary school.

More than a quarter of children under five suffer chronic malnutrition.

75% of children experience violence.

At least 10% of girls are married before they are 15, and a quarter experienced sexual violence in the past year.

Essential services such as schools and health facilities are overcrowded and under-resourced. Laws and policies have been passed that could make a positive difference to children’s lives, but are seldom resourced or enforced. Rural youth struggle to find decent work.
Uganda hosts almost 1.4 million refugees fleeing some of the world’s worst conflicts – one of the largest numbers in the world. More than 60% are children. The country has shown great generosity in opening its doors, but the influx has further increased the strain on services and more support is needed.
We have been working since 2014 and have programmes in our community and also in different parts of the country. We work in partnerships with communities, the government, civil society and the private sector, to deliver programmes that have a lasting impact, inspire change and uphold children’s rights. Our work supports long-term development and humanitarian emergencies, and bridges the gap between the two.
Inclusive education
Girls often drop out of school or miss classes when they reach puberty, as they lack sanitary pads and schools often do not have gender-appropriate washrooms. We teach girls how to make low-cost reusable pads from local materials and build new sanitation facilities. As a result, more girls are staying in school. We also work with partners to make schools more accessible to children with disabilities, and help teachers adapt their methods for children with learning difficulties.

About Fight for the Future Foundation Ltd (FIFFO)
Fight for the Future Foundation Ltd (FIFFO) is a dedicated charitable organization based in Kampala, Uganda, focused on transforming the lives of vulnerable and marginalized children. Since our founding in 2014, we have been on a mission to provide care, protection, and support to orphaned children, ensuring they have access to basic needs such as food, shelter, education, and medical care. Currently, FIFFO is home to over 256 children in Kampala and Rakai districts combined who are given a chance to thrive, regardless of their difficult pasts.
At FIFFO, we believe every child deserves a future, and our work is centered on helping children realize their full potential. We are not only committed to the basic welfare of the children in our care but also to empowering young girls, particularly by advocating for their rights and fighting against harmful practices like early marriages. Through education, awareness campaigns, and community outreach, FIFFO is actively working to change the narrative for young girls in Uganda, ensuring they are able to build their own futures free from oppression.
Our organization also extends its services beyond the orphanage, engaging in community outreach programs to provide support to families and individuals in need among our communities we operate in. We work to address the root causes of poverty and vulnerability, offering resources and guidance to help strengthen communities and uplift those who are most at risk. Our motto, "Give a little, Help a lot," reflects our belief that even small contributions can make a significant impact on the lives of those in need.

Mission;
To collaborate with local communities in developing strong and sustainable programs that address community needs, promote access to quality education and support for orphaned and vulnerable children (OVCs), and empower struggling single mothers and vulnerable community members to achieve improved livelihoods and a better future.
Our Goals:

To protect all children from abuse, exploitation, neglect, and discrimination regardless of their gender, background, or social status.

To increase access to quality education for vulnerable and disadvantaged children across Uganda in order to reduce illiteracy and improve future opportunities.

To educate mothers, youth, and children about HIV/AIDS prevention, awareness, and care in order to reduce the spread of the virus, including mother-to-child transmission.

To promote good health, nutrition, and food security among vulnerable children, families, and community members throughout Uganda.

To empower single mothers through skills development, education, livelihood support, and income-generating opportunities.
